Church of Saint Julien and Sainte Basilisse
Opposite our guest house in Cathar country, we invite you to discover the church of Saint Julien and Sainte Basilisse.
Dating from the 14th century, this church is placed under the invocation of Saint Julien and Sainte Basilisse, honoured martyrs of the early Christian era.
Its architecture is in the Southern Gothic style. Its nave is unique with four bays, in the shape of a Latin cross. On its Maître Hôtel you can admire a 16th century funerary cross, classified as a Historic Monument.
The restoration work on the entire church, which began in 2014, has brought to light many superb frescoes that adorned the interior walls.
In the immediate vicinity of the church, you can also admire the Sainte Croix chapel, a calvary of the "Breton pardon" type.
